OCEANCLUB
Keyboardist and vocalist Steve Kostakes brings a new and exciting sound to the Valley of the Sun - Phoenix, Arizona. Steve, who grew up on Chicago’s south side, was heavily influenced by the city’s music scene, and started playing piano and drums at an early age. Straight out of high school in 1975, he toured the western states for five years with a six-piece group playing drums and keyboard.
Returning to Chicago, he led his own band and played solo gigs until 1985 when he moved to Los Angeles, playing the piano bar circuit and pursued songwriting. He then got involved with the blues scene and toured with Guitar Shorty and Lowell Fulson. In 1997 he moved to the East Coast to play for Debbie Davies where he met and then toured with Roomful Of Blues.
Steve has played venues and festivals around the globe. Moving to Phoenix in 2000, Steve played "The Pointe Hilton Resort” for one year, until getting hired at “Lil’ Ditty’s,” a dueling piano bar in Downtown Phoenix where he stayed until 2003. Steve opened the piano bar at "Maggiano’s" Italian restaurant and currently headlines for “The Ocean Club” in Scottsdale.
